Reliability and longevity are key factors for range cooker ownership and Heritage appliances score very highly in this regard. We’ve found the oil-fired models we maintain and have installed have been excellent, not suffering from internal heat damage over time in any way and being designed for ease of maintenance have really helped Heritage cookers become long lasting appliances.

When heating water as many traditional range cooker appliances do, it is important this is done in an efficient way. Heritage have achieved this through a different boiler water jacket design that has great efficiency improvements over the conventional design. Most boilers consist of a water jacket with baffles so the heat from the burner is slowed down by the baffles and transferred into the water. A Heritage uses a boiler with a selection of tubes in it which runs through the water to be heated rather like a tube boiler in a steam engine. In other words, you burn less fuel for more heat!
